Dance should always be a positive experience. Before all else, it is about the love of dance and the joy felt when dancing.
About Miss Lizzy Moeller Russell
Miss Lizzy began dancing in a ballet class under Donna Richmond 19 years ago and fell in love with dance. Since then she has studied jazz, musical theatre, and tap for many years under a Radio City Rockettes choreographer and director. She has studied ballet under professional dancers from Washington Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet, and the founder of the successful Cincinnati based company DanceFix. She has studied Contemporary and Modern under a world traveling professional Modern dancer.
Miss Lizzy has been teaching for the past 13 years and has loved every moment. Outside of her studio, Miss Lizzy teaches for the Cincinnati Ballet and Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy. Over the years she has choreographed many musicals, her favorite being Frozen Jr. She has traveled to schools and held dance seminars all with hopes to share her love of dance. As a senior in high school, Miss Lizzy auditioned and was accepted into the Universal Dance Association Dance Team where she traveled to London and danced in their New Year’s Day parade. She then continued on to get a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts Theatre and Dance degree with a focus on dance and a Communication Studies degree.
Having been injured many years ago, Miss Lizzy has made it her mission to teach dance in a way that is safe and fun for every dancer. Miss Lizzy studied under the dance community’s injury prevention leader, Jacqui Haas, to make this a possibility. Miss Lizzy has always loved teaching. From a very young age, she dreamed of owning her own studio and is thrilled to be teaching in her hometown. Miss Lizzy would like to thank all of the people who made this possible. Dreams do come true!
